Elections

The City of Otsego administers elections every two years. 

The City Clerk’s Office is available to assist with questions related to voter registration, absentee voting, and elections. The City Clerk is responsible for administering municipal, state, and federal elections held in Otsego.

Otsego residents can vote absentee in person at Otsego City Hall

Early voting for Primary Election begins: Friday, June 26, 2026
Regular hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

• Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  What is a primary election?

Who Can Vote:

To vote in Minnesota, you must:

• A U.S. citizen
• At least 18 years old on Election Day (16 & 17 year olds can pre-register)
• A resident of Minnesota for 20 days
• Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
• Not under a court order that revokes your right to vote

Ways to Vote:

1. Vote by Mail:

• Request your ballot at mnvotes.gov/absentee

• Return your completed ballot to City Hall by 5 p.m. on Election Day

• Track your ballot at: mnvotes.gov/trackmyballot

2. Vote Early in Person:

• At City Hall 

3. Vote on Election Day:

• Find your polling place at: mnvotes.gov/pollfinder

• Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• If you’re in line by 8 p.m., you can vote

• You can register to vote on Election Day in Minnesota
